One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Varanasi, also called Kashi, is a major religious center. The city is of immense importance to Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. What to see in the city of Varanasi:

Dashashwamedh Ghat Ganga Aarti: One thing you won’t want to miss is the Ganga Aarti that takes place at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Performed every evening, this colorful ceremony is a visual spectacle so make sure you don’t miss it!

Ganges River Morning Boat Ride: During the morning, take a boat ride on the River Ganges, known for the most tranquil view over the ghats and the bathing rituals of worshippers.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple: It is one of the most popular temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is situated in the centre of the old city. The ancient history of the temple — and its role in Hinduism — is unrivaled.

Sarnath: Just a short drive from Varanasi, Sarnath is the site of Buddha’s first sermon after he achieved enlightenment. It is a key place for history and spirituality buffs, with its tranquil setting, stupas, and museums.

Ayodhya, which sits on the banks of the Sarayu River, is regarded as the birthplace of Lord Rama, one of Hinduism’s most revered deities. Day 1: Bangalore to Varanasi
Take a flight from Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) Bangalore to Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (VNS) Varanasi. When you arrive in Varanasi, you’ll be greeted by your tour guide who will escort you to your hotel to check in and rest. Ganga Aarti at Dasashmudhar Ghat (evening visit).

Day 2: Varanasi Sightseeing

  • Early morning boat ride on the Ganges, followed by a visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
  • Visit Sarnath in the afternoon to explore the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Archaeological Museum.

Day 3: Varanasi to Ayodhya
